About Our Mission
The Ozarks Clean Fuels Coalition (OCFC) is a proud member of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Program, a national initiative dedicated to advancing the nation’s economic, environmental, and energy security. As a designated Clean Cities coalition, we work to reduce petroleum consumption in the transportation sector by promoting cleaner alternative fuels, advanced vehicle technologies, and smarter mobility systems across Southwest Missouri.
Designated as an official Clean Cities Coalition in 2024, OCFC has served as a trusted resource for public and private fleets, local governments, and community partners seeking cost-effective and sustainable transportation solutions. We support a 29-county region in Southwest Missouri, bringing together stakeholders from diverse sectors to collaborate on reducing emissions, cutting fuel costs, and increasing energy independence.
Our work is rooted in building strong partnerships. We provide technical expertise, funding assistance, and networking opportunities for organizations interested in adopting alternative fuels such as biodiesel, ethanol, compressed natural gas (CNG), propane, and electricity. By supporting fleets with tools, training, and connections, OCFC helps our region move toward cleaner, more efficient transportation that benefits both the economy and the environment.
As part of the Clean Cities network, OCFC is one of nearly 100 coalitions nationwide working at the local level to make a national impact. Together, these coalitions have displaced billions of gallons of petroleum and reduced millions of tons of greenhouse gas emissions. In the Ozarks, we are proud to contribute to this mission while meeting the unique needs of our communities.
Whether you represent a local fleet, business, school district, municipality, or simply care about creating a healthier and more sustainable future, OCFC is here to connect you with the resources, expertise, and network you need to make a difference.
